Gees Recycling is in the multidisciplinary partnership that brings together experts from various sectors, ranging from robotics to marine biology, from the recycling of materials and to the involvement of citizens and stakeholders. The main objective of MAELSTROM is to find solutions to reduce the impact of marine litter in coastal ecosystems, identifying places of accumulation, intercepting floating river litter and removing those deposited on the seabed, especially made up of plastic materials, so to avoid their degradation into microplastics.
